Nothing happens expect I lose weight and my life falls apart. ha ha.. approximately 6 months ago I developed a sinus infection that I ended up having surgery for to get rid of. Headaches the whole thing. The headache never disappeared. I still suffer and I am taking topomax at 100 mg. now ears ringing nausea lightheaded, dizzy fatigue weepy. I am beginning to thin the tumor is acting up even tho it has not grown to measure. I am at the end of my rope please help!
Your doctors who found the tumor are not skilled in pituitary. The size of the tumor is not the factor but the action of the tumor is - so while an MRI can tell you that you have something there, you need a lot of lab testing to indicate the nature of the lesion.
Find a pituitary center - and a neuro-endo. Go to a larger university center or a larger hospital to find a decent doctor. It make take several rounds of testing and you need to be educated on the topic to make sure the testing is done correctly. Read up in the health pages to find doctors and information and ask more questions here.
