Any good news on prolactinomas treatment

Hi there everybody, Since I had a prolactinoma removal surgery 13 years ago, I havent been up to date on science progress in treating or operating this condition.  As I suffer a relapse of the original tumor residue, I am experincing again all the symtoms (symptoms): Headaches, eyeaches, dimished strength and sexual drive and performance, etc.  My prolactin levels are up (2000), Thyroid hormones, gonadal hormones, cortisol, are all a mess. Surgery looks inevitable again, Bromocriptin treatment has not helped at all, cant tolerate Cabergoline.  Does anybody out ther knows anything new that could be of help.  Thanks

There is pretty much surgery and radiation left.

There is one other medication available in Europe - if you have a very avant garde doc, he may try to get you in a trial or get the med for you in Europe.

As for radiation, if that is going to be the choice, there are several different types - and they should be researched as depending on the size and location of the lesion,

I would suggest that you use a surgeon that uses endoscopic methods and not microscopic, as they can see better. At least in 13 years, surgery techniques have improved and it should be a lot easier on you.
