Bleeding in the brain and swelling survival chance

Hey, my girlfriend was involved in what i'm told was a serious crash yesterday
According to the doctors, she has bleeding in the brain and her brain is swelled
She has also suffered a punctured lung and crack ribs

This morning i'm told she is in a stable condition

Could you please tell me what the chances of her surviving are? im pretty clueless and its killing me not knowing much about it :(

Ok, guess you can't post links.  It's DoctorsLounge *******.

I went into the doctors link on top - it doesn't look like the doctors are active here on the forums (they I only looked at the brain tumor forum).  You could try posting on  www.***************** forums (not sure if I'm allowed to post links to other sites).  They do answer most of the time.  You might have to wait a few days though.

Wishing you the best for your girlfriends continued recovery.

I'm new here, but just wanted to wish you well & send many prayers.  Yes, many people survive & recover.  The brain is a miraculous thing, and can rewire itself to compensate.  We read about miracles in some of the worst cases all the time.  If she's young, she's even more likely to suffer less effects.

(((Wishing you the best)))

With so little information, there's no way anyone here could know for sure what her chances are, but I can tell you that many, many people survive such injuries, and worse.
What is your girlfriend's name? We can all send our good thoughts and energy to her,
((((((((((()))))))))))))). Our prayers are with you both.
