COULD I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH MY PITURITY GLAND

I  HAVE BEEN HAVING A LOT OF MEDICAL IVESTIGATIONS RELATING TO DIFFERENT PROBLEMS BUT I BELIEVE I AM SEEING A PATTERN.
I AM CURRENTLY GETTING DIAGNOSED AS HAVING  POSTURAL ORTHOSTATIC TACHYCARDIA BY THE CARDIOLOGIST
I AM ALSO BEING INVESTIGATED FOR POLYCYSITIC OVARAIES
I HAVE A  UNDERACTIVE THYROID
I ALSO SUFFER FROM ASTHMA , I HAVE IMPAIERD VISION AND I SUFFER A  LOT MIGRANES (migraines) AND I AM WONDERING IF THIS IS ALL ELATED TO THE THYROID. I KNOW THAT MY FEMALE SEX HORMONES ARE LOW AND THAT ALTHOUGH THE TESTOSTERONE IS NORMAL ANOTHER MALE HORMONE IS TO HIGH. WHAT I AM WONDERING IS WHETHER ALL THE CONDITIONS ARE RELATED AND IS THERE  A CHANCE THAT THIS MAY BE CAUSED BY SOME KIND OF TUMOR. CONSEQUENTLY THE MIGRANES (migraines) I GET ARE ASSOCIATED WITH PAIN AT THE BACK OF MY HEAD AND ONE EYE AND  A FEELING OF PRESSURE. I FIND THAT WHEN I TRY TO PUT CHIN TO CHEST I GET PAIN RIGHT DOWN MY SPINE AND I ALSO GET A LOT OF PINS AND NEEDLES IN ARMS AND LEGS. . ANY TJHOUGHTS BE GREATFULLY  APPRECIATED.

Could be endocrine, possibly pituitary. Tumor or not, hard to say unless you have an MRI. The thryoid gland is controlled by a hormone that the Pituitary gland makes that is called TSH so you can have thyroid problems because of pituitary problems. If you are getting a workup for PCOS make sure that your doctors also look at your Prolactin, TSH/FreeT3/FreeT4, FSH/LH and maybe even cortisol levels. PCOS and certain Pituitary stuff have similar symptoms so most doctors will test for both. There are other hormonal tests too. Also if any of the hormones are off, an MRI can be ordered to check your Pituitary gland.

Impaired vision can be related to your hypothyroidism, as pituitary tumors can also cause similar problems. Fortunately, TSH-secreting pituitary tumors are very rare, but even when discovered in a patient, usually benign and easily removeable. Prolactinomas--pituitary tumors that secrete prolactin, the hormone that triggers the production of breastmilk--are much more common, for example, so it's not very likely that your thyroid issues are a result of a TSH-secreting pituitary tumor. It's still possible, though, and definitely worthy of further investigation given some of your abnormal hormone levels.

The pain at the back of your head and the difficulty tilting your head forward may have something to do with your superior sagittal sinus, or even your thyroid, itself. Headaches can be caused by thyroid problems, as can neck pain and rigidity.

You should have a pituitary panel run if you haven't already, which would include having blood taken and analyzed for your levels of prolactin, TSH, ACTH, GH, FSH, and LH; these are the hormones released by the anterior lobe of your pituitary gland. If one or more of these hormones are seriously out of range, then your doctor should order an MRI, with contrast, of the sella turcica--a bony structure at the base of your brain, containing your pituitary gland.
