Can a 6mm pituitary cyst cause problems?

I  recently  had a brain mri done because I had  very bad headaches, it showed I had a 6 mm cystic microadenoma at the left lateral aspect of the pituitary gland. What  problems can this cause?  My doctor may want me to see a neurologist? Any answers would be helpful! Thank You!

Yes, it can cause problems.

A neurologist does not treat pituitary issues - please find a pituitary center and a neuro-endo. Make sure that you get copies of everything for your own records (and read them). There are links in the health pages to help out to learn more and ask questions here.

I have been delayed by Sandy - so I am a bit off...
