Electrical clash of brain

Was awaken from sleep with an electrical clash of brain.  Was not sure what had really happened and just laid still for a few moments.  I thought I might have had a stroke, so began moving my arms and legs. I could move everything OK and was able to get up and walk.  However, I developed a headache afterward.  I proceeded to take some Tylenol and a Claritin (sinus medicine) and went back to sleep for a short time.  When I awoke, I still had the headache.  I ate some food and then took an Imitrex (migraine medicine).  I then went back to sleep for a time and when I awoke I felt much better.  I ate again, but later developed the headache again.  I proceeded to take a stronger pain medication and retired for the night.  I have never had a migraine headache start out like that before.  Although I had not had a migraine for almost a year.  I am 63 years old, have been diagnosed with a slightly enlarged heart -- although the cardiologist did not seem really concerned about it a year ago.

What could be the cause of these unusual symptoms?  Are they related?  If so, what does it indicate?  Should I have my Internist check it out?  Or a Specialist -- if so what kind of Specialist?

Thank You for any help.

I would see a headache specialist - in neurology.
