Family member with inoperable brain tumor

My cousin was diagnosed with an inoperable 4 cm brain tumor at the base of her brain aprox 1 year ago.  She does not give us much info except to say "I'm doing good, don't worry".  We've pooled the information that each of us has and it seems that over the last 6 months she accumulated aprox 12 diff meds, her internal organs appear to either have something wrong with them or be shutting down in one way or another, recently underwent a pelvic nerve block and she has become aggressive and forgetful.  Sleeps A LOT and her Dr's have stopped her IVIG treatments.    She has told her Dr's not to release any info to the family so we are not sure of what is truly going on.  We are wondering if we should be "preparing".  Any help would be appreciated.

IVIG is to help the immune system (had it). As for the aggressive and forgetful and sleepy, I am a patient too but my best guess is that they put her on steroids for swelling. High does steroids will make your emotions go all over the place but my cousin who recently had an inoperable brain tumor, got super duper nasty on his - and they also make  you tired plus the disease process will make you tired as well.

It is a shame she does not want any support and has left you totally in the dark, It could be she has been doing chemo with the pills etc. and that is a lot for the body to take hence the pain, things going wrong etc. as that effects the entire body to it is very hard to tell what is side effects and what could be possible spread.

I feel for you - but until she opens up, just support her how she wants. I had IVIG and had side effects so some people can have it and some cannot.
