Ideas on financial help to get help for pituitary/thyroid problems? I've reached the end of my rope.

Hello All,
I am hoping that all forum members could possibly give me some help, ideas or such on how to go about getting to a good pituitary/thyroid hospital, university or whatever, when I have no financial means.

I am a 30 year old male and have posted on this forum so many times, but I am yet to get to the bottom of my problems and I have almost reached my end of the rope.  I don't want to give up on life or anything, but I almost feel as if I have no choice anymore.  I am never going to find help when I don't have $15,000.00 to find help.  I have been to the Mayo Clinic, diagnosed with a possible pituitary microadenoma, but guaranteed by them that it is 100% not causing any of my problems.  My problems started years before I ever knew what a pituitary/thyroid/adrenal or anything was and I have almost every symptom associated with problems in those areas.  Then I go to the Mayo Clinic, have an MRI done and find out it's a possible pituitary microadenoma.  I go home and research the term and all the definition of a pituitary problem is missing, is a picture of me next to it.

Thanks for taking the time to read this!

Can you contact the National institutes of Health (NIH)? They have a very good pituitary program and they have fee waivers if you are low income. They can even arrange for transportation, room and board if this are issues as well.

Anpther option, I don't know what state u live in...but can you look into Obamacare? Again you may be able to get the cost of med insurance based on your income, which if low, might be subsidized.

Maybe these are options for you?

The sphenoid sinus is different from the sinuses behind our cheeks and forehead. Has a doctor looked at the steady fluid coming out of your nose and said it was your "sinuses" ?

oh man, how can i relate to everything you said in your post!!! mayo is supposed to be the BEST clinic ever, yet they cant see the obvious. i went to Robert wood johnson and saw  a pituitary specialist and he told me all those same things. its been almost a year since v i had my mri, and  i still have not found treatment. im not sure what else to do but im telling you that  i can relate to EVERYTHING you said in your post.

i self diagnosed myself with a pituitary tumor in 5 minutes, then my mri confirmed it, and they say its coincidences. doctors suckl.

Why not go to a place that is better suited to treat pituitary tumors?

I got the same response from Mayo - I was told my pituitary tumor was not causing my issues, however, in the end, I had two pituitary tumors, and they both were causing a lot of problems. Mayo is a great place, but not for pituitary.

I would be glad they did the MRI, but I would find another institution for follow up - and perhaps that place will take your insurance.
