Is this cancer?

My father in law fell and hit his head very bad, he had bleeding on the brain which was over 2 months ago.  I just received copies of the ct scans they did and the findings state "The differential diagnosis is hemorrhagic neoplastic metastic lesion"  Does this mean he has cancer, no Dr. ever mentioned this in the hospital, they only told us he had bleeding on the brain from the fall, maybe they assumed we already knew.

I did some research and found that sometimes hemorrages are hard to tell, sometimes from some other lesions. However, you or your FIL need to talk to the doctor to get the films re-read, to get him to a doctor to find out the real issue etc. Is he still having symptoms?
