Thanks. I hope they figure this thing out and I get back to my 20% lol.
Weird that the mammo place never heard of a prolactinoma!!! I have been to several, and mine all have.
I was not doing mammo at the time of my breast issues, but I have a weird leaky breast now, and no one seems the least bit freaked by it at the mammo place.
I do not envy you the mammo with the painful breasts!!!
Im seeing at neuro-endo at at teaching hospital after an unsatisfactory experience with a reg endo dr here in town. I was on low dose of cab but my breast were getting sore in-between doses, so they upped the cab and I had bad side effects. Been off for a couple of weeks now per dr and going to retry the low dose of cab again. Sore breasts never let up tho with or without meds. haven't found that happy medium yet. Neuro-endo didn't order the annual pap/mammo, my internist did. No one thought it was going to be a big deal until the scheduler at the mammo place got all freaked out about my being engorged and never heard of a pit tumor. Shrugs. Just wondering if anyone else had a mammo with enorgement due to high prolactin.
PS
I hope you're feeling better Rumpled- you are the lifes blood of this forum and I would be so lost with out reading all of these personal experiences. Thank you so much.
Your gyne has not sent you on to a pituitary doctor?
Please find a pituitary doctor to treat your tumor - no matter the size, you should be treated so you don't have symptoms. I know those breasts hurt like heck - been there, done that - and encouraging the lactation is a mistake!!!
Get to a neuro-endo (not a regular endo) and get the treatment you need.
