Metallic taste in mouth

Hey everyone -

I'm wondering if any of you have ever had a metallic taste in your mouth. I've had it for a few months. I don't have any dental fillings or anything and am not on any medications that would cause this.

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks for your responses. I have no idea what this is from. Have never had it before so its interesting.....I'm eating a lot of kelp or taking in iodine, I probably need to add some kelp, Lol. Hmm, I think this one is going to remain a mystery ;-)

Hope you all are well.

The only thing I can think of at the moment is that excessive iodine intake will cause a metallic taste in the mouth. Are you taking an iodine supplement, eating a lot of kelp, something like that?

A metallic taste in your mouth is not an uncommon symptom, and metal tasting is typically not a serious problem.

Your perception of a metallic taste can be due to an assortment of metal mouth factors

Sometimes your cause for metallic tin taste may never come to light, and your unsavory metal episode goes away on its own. Albeit you may experience a month or so of tasting metal.

Scraping or brushing your tongue, along with multiple daily teeth brushings may alleviate metallic suffering. Also, try using plastic utensils for eating whenever you notice a metallic taste in your mouth.

this is some of I found from searching ....

I hope that is benfite for you ...

best wishes
