Pediatric Optic Glioma

My 10 yr old daughter had an optic glioma mostly removed in 2007. She is 12 now and woke up last night feeling tingling in her brain where it was removed. She said it occured a few times over about a 45 minute period lasting only seconds each time. This happened once before right after surgery. Doctors said it was probably just healing. Any one ever heard of this?

Are they monitoring her regularly via eye exams with a neuro-opthomologist and MRIs or CTs?

It could be healing right after surgery but it seems odd that healing would occur two years after the fact.
