Pineocytoma

by kewltink, Jun 08, 2009 01:36PM
My dad had suffered from headaches from about grade 6. On January 9th, 2009, he was diagnosed with a pineocytoma, or a  benign tumour in the middle of his his brain. My parents and doctor want me to get a CAT scan to see if a brain tumour is causing my headaches. Are pineocytomas hereditary?

Unless you see a bunch of them in his/your family, there should not be a disposition for you to have one - mostly they do not know what causes these lesions.

In doing research, they say that tumor is not inherited.
