Pituitary tumor/face spasm

I've had off and on facial numbness for years, and its always on the R side, but only the R half as if someone drew a line straight down the middle of my head and injected Novocaine to only the R side of my face. 2 weeks ago I developed this weird spasm on my L side, 1/2 inch from my mouth and slightly down towards my chin. its a spasm or tic. Most times it comes and goes, today it was more like a pulse. Ive had galactorrhea for a long time and my GYN said more than likely I have a pituitary tumor but not to worry since they are normally benign.

Its bothering me now because I have the tic, headaches, tired eyes, blurry vision and my period has become almost unmanageable (very very heavy bleeding). Around the same time as the tic developed, I began having these terrible itchy bumps all over my body. Intensely itchy, head to toe. I can't concentrate or make decisions anymore, sometimes I stay in bed all day and its a struggle to even get my son to school or pick him up. I don't feel like the same person anymore. To top it off my R nipple is driving me up the wall... it itches constantly and it just hurts.

Could a pituitary tumor cause all this? I feel like a crazy person.

I'm a 40 year old caucasain woman. The most serious health issue I've ever faced is a broken leg at age 11.

Your doc is an endiot? Or a GP? Oh... a gyn... Just because the dang thing is benign does not mean it does not mean it does not mean it does not mean no treatment! It is still giving you symptoms and symptoms mean hello - treat me!

You have no idea where the tumor is growing if you have one. The prolactin can most certainly be messing with everything you said except I have never heard of the nerve thing except post op.

Please find a pituitary center and explain what is going on and that you have no tests since your doc feels a tumor should not be treated.... the new doctor should be as appalled as I am and get you in for testing and an MRI to determine the extent of what is going on.

The pituitary sits in a small bony pouch - tumors can easily grow out of it and around the optic nerve or down in to the cavernous sinus where there are a lot of nerves and blood vessels. Those parts are inoperable. Please get to a competent doctor and get testing so you can get on the medications to shrink the dang thing so you can feel better. Hopefully you will not have to have surgery.
