Pituitary tumor on dostinex. Horribly sick with diarrhea only during ovulation

Hello. I have just been diagnosed with an 8mm pituitary tumor 7months after having a baby. Symtoms were not ovulating and only 11 day cycles. Neuro told me it was prolactinoma. Endo said it's not functioning because my prolactin level was only 47. And that was not high enough for an 8mm tumor. He thinks prolactin was just still a little high from having the baby. I have been on dostinex 5wks. Within the 1st month I ovulated and went a 29day cycle. I am now ovulating for the 2nd time since b4 having the baby. (which I never had a cycle problem before the baby, got prego 1st try). My question is, is anyone else sick during ovulation? I have water bowels even from Gatorade...and extreme fatigue and headaches for about 5days. It happened last month at the same time. Anyone else experience this? Oh, and ear pain. I am at a loss and all the doctors seem clueless. Told me I have a virus. But there is no way a virus repeats itself only during ovulation!!! My lh and fsh were low prior to getting on the dostinex from being suppressed by the prolactin. So this is the 1st time they r working since before the pregnancy. Thanks in advance.

A pituitary place may or may not have issues with all normal testing - did you get copies and check that it really was normal? Sometimes tests are interpreted incorrectly.

Every hormone was tested. All came back within normal range. I have all copies. I actually just started the headaches since I began the dostinex. I am trying to find a good pituitary doctor in the Orlando area...

Please find a competent doctor - please find a pituitary center. You can have a prolactinoma with such a small elevation (I had one) or it can be a different type of tumor. There are also other medications to try.

Get copies of all your testing (were you only tested for prolactin - what about the other pituitary tumors?) and get the CD of your tumor and the report and get to a center where you can get more information. A good eye exam would also help - neuro-optho.

The docs ARE clueless. You need the right doc.
