My wife suffered from a sudden loss of vision in her left eye bck in May of this year. She told me she could stiill see a littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummys, but everything seemed dark, like lookinng around outside in the dark. I wanted to take her to the ER, but she would not let me. I had just had brain surgery a few weeks before to hve an acousticAcoustic neuroma Acoustic trauma neuroma removed, so she was stubborn about going to the hospital. After about 40 minutes, her vision returned, but not the same as it was. I had not realized she was still having problems until recently, so I immediately made an appointment to get her vision checked firstFirst progesterone mc10 First progesterone mc5 First-progesterone vgs 100 First-progesterone vgs 200 First-progesterone vgs 25 First-progesterone vgs 400 First-progesterone vgs 50 First-testosterone First-testosterone mc and see our primaryPrimary amyloidosis Primary biliary cirrhosis Primary hyperparathyroidism Primary insomnia Primary lymphoma of the brain care doctor. Her vision checked out to be fine, with the optometrist saying she has normalNormal saline flush vision in her left eye and above average vision in her right eye. My best understanding from her is that her vision used to be above average in the left eye too, so now everything seems a littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummys out of focus in comparison. After talking to our doctor, he said it sounds like she might have had a stroke that caused the vision loss, but has ordered a brian MRI with contrast and refered her to an ophthalmologist. We are going to both tomorrow to see what is gong on, I am concerned about the possibility of a brain tumor, and I assume the MRI will show if that is the case. I am concerned for her and want to make sure everything is done correctly to diagnose her problem. Will an MRI show all types of brainn tumors? If she had a sroke, will tht show up on the MRI? Are there any other types of tests that should be done. I know the MRI all too well after my tumor this year, so I assume that will tell all. If there are any other test that I should ask to be done, please let me know,
An MRI will show all types of brain tumors - save the teeny ones, as long as it is done with and without contrast (if she can tolerate it). MRAs can detect strokes as well.
I thought that strokes are better with CTs, but I think that they may show up with MRIs as well - ask the tech.
My mom had a stroke in which she lost some vision so it can happen like that, really, she needed to get help right away. I hope that you can impose on her to get medical help immediately as that helps a lot to minimize damage.
