To Rumpled - Did doctors make a mistake?

I was going to the same primary care physician for 16 years before I had my first tumor operation.  I had always complained of headaches, little or no sex drive, nervousness and depression.  The doctor referred me to a rehabilitation/wellness physician who was nicknamed ( Dr. Steroid ) by the police & firemen which made up the majority of his clientel.  Without giving me any tests of his own and relying solely on my primary care physicians records, he told me that I was suffering from low testerone which at that time the level was about 230 or so.

He proceeded to place me on a hormone named Norditropin Nordiflex which I had to inject into my deltoid 7 days a week at bed time, he also placed me on 8 pumps of Androgel daily.  It did'nt take long for me to lose fat and gain lean muscle mass.  He insisted that this would take care of the way I was feeling and supposeably he kept my primary physician up to date on my progress. This did not take care of my symtoms (symptoms), It just made things worse. I kept complaining of bad headaches and that my vision in my right eye didn't feel right even with my new glasses it felt very blurry, I told both doctors this.   I felt much more confident, stronger and very aggressive. I use to walk the streets as though I owned them, my alcohol consumtion increased dramatically.  When I was diagnosed with a large mass on the right side of my brain, my primary physician of 16 years was notified and never came to see me. My testerone levels at this point were now standing at 1335

The hospital I was in told us that they did not perform this type of procedure there and I was then transferred to a hospital in Summit.  The chief neurosurgeon condemed the rehabilitation/Wellness physician for not taking any testing before placing me on these hormonal medications, which he strongly felt accelerated the growth of the tumor and put my life in immediate danger of dying.  Although the surgeons had performed these types of operations here before, due to the size and where it was situated they gave me only a 50% survival rate.  The Chief  neurosurgeon told us of one surgeon that could perform the operation with an 85% survival rate and was located at ST. Lukes hospital in New York.

I would like to add that the rehabilitation/wellness physician passed away in Augest of 2007 of a heart attack at age 46.

Do you feel that my docotrs were negligent and due  their negligence it worsened my condition?

Kerry,
I am not a doctor, nor a lawyer.
I cannot respond about negligence as a legal term.
I do feel that they were ignorant of all they could of done. I am sorry you had to go through all this.
