abnormal MRI of my brain

abnormal MRI of my brain

I get migraines about once or twice a week now  and I recently had an MRI done. The doc gave me the results over the phone and said I had unusual spots on my brain and they didn't look like there were any tumors, and he said he would send the MRI to another specialist to get another opinion. I don't go in to see him until the end of June and I'm a little nervous. I was wondering if your MRI showed spots or was it just considered to be a mass? If that makes any sense. I have bulging disk in my neck too so I think a lot of my migraines stem from that.
I take Maxalt for my migraines, and today I ran out of them so I took an extra oxycotin that has been prescribed to me for back and neck problems. I have moderate to severe chronic pain.
Should I be concerned about the spots?
Thanks,
Lori

If they were going to say it was a mass, they would use words like "lesion" or something like that, not spots.
In many states, you have the right to get a copy of the scan as well as the report so you can read it yourself. Did you get a copy?
