i had a cat scan done of the skul of my dad who is 66 yrs old.the report says .there is evidence of irregular bone destruction in the basiocciput on the right side.the lesion is associated with a large soft tissue mass that bulges into the foramen magnum and posterior cranial fossa.it contains multicystic small fragments of bone that are also bulging intracranially.
small nodular calcifications are present in the left tentorial incisura and left temporal region.
caudal sections reveal another soft tissue density mass in the left facio-maxillary region

Like Horse said, we are patients, but I don't think you gave the entire report.

It does sort of sound like the mass has been there a while - possibly - calcifications may indicate that.

There are two masses, but there a no indications of size.

Let us know what the doctors say about the lesions and his prognosis.

This is a patient forum, so we are not doctors. But a lot of us have tumors or issues with our brains or pituitary glands.
So what does the neurologist say about this? Is it causing pressure? Is there other testing that needs to be done? Is it treatable via surgery or by some other means?
What about your father? Is it causing problems for him? Sorry but I am full of questions.

What led you up to the point of having the CAT scan done?
