Thankyou very much for your reply
I have now added info onto my profile
This is my first time writing on a forum just didn't know what else to do
The radiotherapy option is a 20% risk which as you suggest we don't think is too high
to take under the circumstances but as with the chemo they wont administer any treatment until Sandra is well enough to start eating or drinking.  It just seems that they have given up on Sandra because of the poor prognosis but can anyone tell me if it is normal procedure not to issue treatment if a patient is in this condition and who would we ask for a second opinion. Sandra is currently in Qeen Elizabeth hospital Birmingham but is due to be transfered to wolverhamptons new cross hospital.  many thanks for any information

You can write in the comment right below mine in the same thread, that is easier.

I am sorry but I am not familiar with the procedures in the UK.

There are other options now... Research other places and find one that will take her. Ask the social worker in the current hospital about the procedures about issuing treatment, about getting a second opinion. Have you contacted any support organizations?
