* yrs ago I was involved in a MVA.  GSC was 8, C-2 fracture ( miami J collar).  Inpatient trauma unit then rehab floor.  4th optic nerve pasly resoved seeral years later with surgery.  My brain was going a mile a minute requiring little sleep.  This continued even after the neuro surgeon porclamed me cured as the c-2 fracture had healed.  I was not myself and on constant overload.  This overload has since worn out.  My brain doens't quit, it it manifested in a leg tremor and I am confused with poor short term memory, angry and filled with rage, exhuasted and recently have put on 30 pounds in the last year.  I don't sleep well.  A sleep study reported mild OBA and endocrine test report low IGF-I.  Help me as I cannot go through this.  I am thinking that  if someone wanted to put me inpatient, I wouldnt; fight the 3 days.  In the midst of all of this is female hormone ****.  I am not in moenopaus eor so they say, but 2 D7C's in last year adn a half and 2 hysteroscopies in the last year and a half followed by a successful nova sure ablation has resulted in  no period since last August.  however, my mood wings are beyond calling them mood swings and it is dificfult to go trhrough the day.  I work full time though the neuro psych eval suggested disability.  I am the sole provider for 6 adn the insurance.  Help me.  I know that this or parts of this is related to the TBi and SAH ( Left temproal parietal sub arachnoid hemmorrage)

I think that your question accidentily into the brain tumor section.  

Often times, traumatic brain injuries can result in long term side effects.  I would suggest seeing a neurologist to help you with your symptoms.

Looking up Brain Injury Association to see if they have any case management services in your area or resources that can assist you through this. It sounds like you could consider some medications that could help you control your behavior, please consider talking to your neuropsychiatrist. There are also support groups that could help you learn new behavior when you are feeling outraged.

As for the short term memory see if your local Brain Injury Association has any life skills trainers.  Life skills trainers are professional occupational therapist that are trained in brain injury and can help you with some sort of adaptive equipment for your short term memory issues.

Consider using a journal to write things down or possibly looking into getting an alarm watch, we suggest the timex digital data link alarm watch.  This watch is often sold cheaper at Walmart then on the Timex website. This can be hooked up to your computer to download important appointments or messages. It comes with many alarms and when the alarm goes off it appear a message, for example: So and so is coming in 10 minutes, go get ready. Gas bill is due tomorrow.

If you are on any type of medication and have trouble remembering when to take it consider looking at: www.epill.com.

Consider getting a white board, to hang somewhere in your home. A place you often go to. On the white board consider taping off a grid that will alow you to write in your scheduled day.

If you have difficulty with following through, for instance getting laundry done and making lunches for your children, consider putting together a check list. Once something is done, check it off and go onto the next one. Have a child help you put this together. Possibly this could be a good bonding time.
