problems after crainotomy

i had a 22mm pituitary tumor removed by crainotomy in 06 the tumor was in my optic nerve,almost went blind. my sugery went very well,all the tumor was removed and i have perfect vision.now im havin problems with the heat,it makes me sick,i feel like im going to pass out. i keep a low grade fever all time 99.8 .my surgeon said my hypotlamus was probley damanged due to sugery and the pressure of the tumor. about three times a year i get very bad sharp pains in my(left) eye,temple and swelling above my brow and in temple.is this normal? i had infection about two weeks after sugery,was clear and sticky.my sugeron checked it and was all clear.why do you think im having the problems with weight,heat,pain and swelling. im not on any meds except dialtin ,zomig. i have had seizures for 25 yrs,my family doctor wants to take me off dialtin ,she thinks the tumor was causing them. but i had 2 mris with no sign of tumor and had grandmal seizures. im scared to quit my seizure meds because i had a seizure a week after sugery and it was the worst one ive ever had, threw up all day and my head hurt so bad i barley could move.with no sign of tumor for years of havin seizures then when they found the tumor ,is that the reason for my seizures.

Really consider getting a list of the long term side effects of dilantin. It is really not good to stay on dilantin for a long time. There are other seizure medications out there that can do just as well with out the long term side effects. I'm sure if you google dilantin you can get a list or the name of the pharmaceutical company that puts this out.
