Breast Cancer Met liver and lung surgery necessary?

by GracePang, Sep 23, 2009 09:16AM
45 years old now. I had breast cancer (right side) 5 years ago, ER-, Her2+. Did mastectomy, chemo, and radiation. Recently, CT scan showed that it metasized to liver and right lung. Would like to know if surgery still necessary? What chemo drugs other patients take in the similar case. Thank you in advance for your advice.

These questions can only be answered by your Oncologist as many factors have to be considered before any surgery or Chemo is recommended. It's impossible over the internet without benefit of your complete medical history as well as the current scans, etc.  Please have this discussion with your Oncologist and know that each and every person and case is different as well as the response to therapy.   Best wishes ....
