Chemotherapy

I have breast CA Stage 3, 5/17 lymph nodes are positive. Can I get Taxol and Herceptin together? Is it better to take together or separately? Thank you.

Hi.
What is your hormone receptor status?
If you are Her2Neu postive, you can be given Trastuzumab (Herceptin).
In clinical trials, trastuzumab can be given as a single agent or can be combined with chemotherapy.
It would be best to discuss treatment options with your oncologist.

Thank you, doctor Dennis! Yes,I am  Her2 positive, also ER/PR (+) and I gonna to discuss my tx with my oncologist. I heard that combine chemotherapy( Taxol + Herceptin) has much better result...

Studies show that adding Trastuzumab to chemotherapy improve overall survival in patients with Her2Neu positive breast cancer.
