THe Final Histopathology report my sister of 37 year age reads as below:
Infiltrating duct carcinoma, grade 3 composed infiltrating micropapillary carcinoma mucin and another component of micropapillary. DCIS grade III with multifocal invasion.
Modified RB score 3+3+2=8.
EIC positive
Immunohistochemistry results:
ER - Negative
PR - Negative
c-erbB2 - Positive (Score 3) in both components
Done by Dr. M K Deshmukh of Tata Memorial Centre, India.
I see nothing in the path report that would lead me to believe that this is an unusual cancer. As far as treatment, you should see an Oncologist who will formulate the proper treatment plan for your sister's particular case. He/She wil also be able to answer all your questions and concerns reagarding survival rates, etc. Any further information cannot be furnished over the internet as complete information needs to be used for such advice. Please proceed with consultation of an Oncologist and follow whatever treatment is recommended. Kindest regards ....
Just have the Pathology Report, and is INFILTRATING CARCINOMA, the Rdiologist gave me the news, I asked him , what was the stage of my Cancer and he said , I would have to see my Oncologist, The Mitotic count Total Score is Grade 3, I believe is STAGE 3
CANCER, Can anyone help to understand this report before my appoiment with my
Oncologist. Thank you !
Your report stated Grade 3, which indicates a more aggresive (aggressive) type of tumor.
But I'm not sure where you came up with the Stage 3, as this is usually not determined until a good amount of additional testing, incluging CT and or PET scans, MRI, and Sentinel Node Biopsy or axillary dissection, to check whether there is any lymph node involvement.
I know it's difficult, but try not to get ahead of yourself with possibly unneeded worry. Take one step at a time--in this case getting together your questions, based on your research, in preparation for your appointment with the oncologist. In many cases s/he will tell you a lot, so you will only need to bring up things you didn't fully understand regarding the information presented, and any quesstons that were't addressed.
