Pain after lumpectomy

by jody07, Feb 18, 2008 09:54AM
I had a lumpectomy with sentinel node biopsy August of 2006. It was followed by Mammosite treatment. Just recently, I have started having pain in that area, just like a dull ache. Has anyone else experienced this? I don't feel any lumps and mammogram in Oct was negative. Any thoughts?

Hi.
Can you elaborate what Mammosite treatment is?
The breast pain could be secondary to many conditions.  It could be muscle pain.  You can try over-the-counter pain medications and see if the pain would go away.
Also, please consult your doctor for further evaluation.
Good luck.
