Preventing CNS metastasis?

Are there any strategies for preventing CNS metastasis? My mom may be going on Taxotere/adriamycin and although an "active" combination, there seems to be some suggestion the risk of brain mets on this regimen or Taxanes in general could be higher than usual due to dissemination of circulating tumor cells and/or increased tentacles/adhesion at metastasis sites.
Boswellia serrata seems to have some benefit after brain mets are diagnosed. Could it be useful as a preventative during chemo? What about preemptive intrathecal chemo? Any comments on this area in general much appreciated.
