Hi.
Just have some clarifications.  When were you diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer?  Are you undergoing any form of treatment (chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, radiation therapy)?  Where is/are the metastatic site/s?
The median survival for patients with metastatic breast cancer is about 2-3 years.   Fortunately, breast cancer treatment is rapidly evolving.  There are newer therapies that can improve the survival of patients with metastatic breast cancer.
Treatment goal for patients with metastatic breast cancer is palliation.  Treatment is being given to control the disease, improve the quality of life, and relieve symptoms referable to breast cancer.
