Temodar/ Brain Metastisis

My Wonderful Wife 49, is stage 4 Breast Cancer with Metastisis to Lung, Bone, Brain. Initial diagnosis lllb 9/12 years ago.Tomorrow she will undergo the Gamma Knife treatment for the Mets to the brain. The oncologist is starting her on Chemo drug Temodar. I would appreciate any data or experience with Temodars effectiveness in treating breast cancer with brain mets. Thank you.

I have no experience with brain tumours, mets or otherwise, but I have looked up TEMODAR on the web and the results appear to be very hopeful.
The earliest results I was able to find with this drug is 60% survival over 6months. I know that doesn't sound good but it did say that the overall improvement in the quality of life was exceptional. And lets face it anything that makes this disease easier to deal with has got to be a winner.
If you google the Medical News Today website there is a lot of information with regard to brain tumours and relevant treatment with Temodar and other treatments. In one trial of  600 patients all but 3 survived 18 months and the trial is still ongoing.
