how can I tell the difference

Hi, I have breast and bone cancer in my shoulders pelvis hips and a little in my lungs, I have been doing very well and almost entirely pain free. I am on Arimidex and injections of zamotal?spelt wrong I suspect! Sometimes I cannot walk across the room, and it is very debilitating, how do I tell if it is the cancer or the sciatica that hurts????
I do try to keep very active to stop the sciatica, but sometimes that is too painful.

I'm not sure that you can tell the difference. I suppose that you have routine screening scans to track any new developments in the areas already affected. I would tend to think that the pain of metastises would be more constant rather than only "sometimes" as you describe.   Regards ...
