lobular breast cancer recurrence

Hi folks my mother in law has just been diagnosed with breast cancer for the 3rd time. 15 years ago she had it and beat it. she got it a few years later and beat that too. she had a full mastectomy and radiotherapy.

she then got her breasts reconstructed and 15 years later just before they were going to stop regular checks they found another lump.

she is worried that since she has no breast the lump mst have came from the tissue from her stomach they used for the reconstruction.

has anyone any opinions on this?

what is the prognosis on 3rd time lobular breast cancer?

Hi.
Was biopsy done on the lump?
If biopsy has not been performed, perhaps it should be done to see if it is indeed a recurrence.
It is unlikely that the lump developed from the tissue used for her breast reconstruction since the time interval is already 15 years.
