Hi there, I realize that diet and food choices, and keeping a normal weight, and excercise are all important aspects as far as good health is concerned. But I do not think, and that is only my opinion, that eating certain foods will directly affest your chance of survival. Wellbeing, maybe, but notsurvival rate.

Also, when you have metastatic cancer, you need to listen to your own body and what it wants and doesn't want, and needs, and what agrees with you, and what doesn't, and that often changes from time to time.

Your interest in foods and the amounts and kind are also affected by how you feel and by treatments like chemotherapy.

i.e. It'd hard not to feel nauseous with liver mets, and you may lose a lot of weight and get dehydrated. but then when you have chemotherapy, you may start feeling so much better and your taste will improve, and you may again have an appetite. on the other hand chemo can have it's own side effects.

My point is that it is best to listen to your body and legt it guide you, and then on top of that, to be like a 'good mother' to yourself and perhaps feed some things to yourself that you may not want very much but do it anyway, just because you know better? (like drinking enough)

That's all I know, Katrin

If she's interested in eating ... because Katrin is right, appetite and a taste for food comes and goes, she may want to try a macrobiotic diet. Super healthy...

Best wishes
