should i a bone scan be done?

I've had a lumpectomy which showed 3/16 nodes + , aggressive tumor 2.0 cm., extranodal involvement, angiolymphatic involvement. Should I ask my dr for a bone scan prior to chemo starting? and if she says no, do you have an agruing suggestion?

Some doctors only do a bone scan if you have symptoms of bone mets or late stage disease. Bone pain would be the symptom to tell him/her if you want one. It can also be done after you start chemo. Usually in stage 2 they don't do one because you don't have mets. What is your stage?

I'd get scans done after the chemo to make sure it worked and I'd want the PET scan.
