Hair fall is indeed inevitable for certain chemotherapy agents (anthracyclines like doxorubicin, alkylating agents, vinca alkaloids, taxanes such as taxol and taxotere).  I'm afraid there is no technology yet that can prevent this side effect from these drugs.  However, there are some chemotherapy meds that do not cause significant hairfall such as 5-fu, pemetrexed, gemcitabine, oxaliplatin, carboplatin, etc.  Some patients would prefer to shave their heads at the start of hairfall to avoid the trauma of actually seeing the hair fall day by day (and use the stylish wigs instead).  Regards.
