calcification on saline implant

1991 Invasive Ductal CA, Partial Mastectomy, Chemo, Radiation
1998 Insitu CA same location, Bilat Mastectomy, reconstruction with saline implants.
2010 I have palpable lumps in same location.  Ultrasound shows what radiologist calls calcification (calcific capsulitis) on the saline implant.  
Could this mask another cancer?
How reliable is the ultrasound finding?  
What should be my next step?

Things are always more difficult when implants are involved. Calcifications in themselves (when clustered) are an indication of some abnormality within the breast tissue but since you have implants following bilat. mastectomies any malignancy would seem to involve either the skin or the chest wall. I would consult a Breast Specialist or even your Oncologist to review the films and advise you as to any further testing that may be of help in your particular situation.  Regards .....
