2 months in limbo

After a questionable mammography I had a second more in depth one.  ThaT CAME OUT FINE AND ASKED ME TO COME BACK IN A YEAR.  INBETWEEN I SAW A SURGEON WHO DIDN'T LIKE HOW CYSTIC I WAS. NOW I AM A #4 ON ULTRASOUND.  THE GYN. WANTS AN IMMEDIATE BIOPSY.  THE SURGEON SAYS I NEED AN MRI FIRST.SHE WAS MORE POSITIVE THAN THE GYN.  HOW BAD DOES ALL THIS SOUND?

Dear Babsy:  Whether or not you need an MRI is controversial.  If there is something concerning on your mammogram or ultrasound, it needs to be biopsied.  Just because there is something concerning on a scan, does not mean it is cancer.  In fact, it often is not cancer.  But, the only way to know for sure is to biopsy.
