27y/o with breast lump, shoulder, arm and upper back aches

im 27 y/o and the past several months ive had a lump in my rt breast.  it is tender to the touch and would be very tender right before my period.  recently, the lymph nodes in my armpit and neck have become large and tender(although they seem to come and go)and my shoulder,upper back on rt side and arm have been achy and sore like ive over used them, but i havent.  i just found out that im pregnant and now the achiness seems constant.  its not overwelming pain, but enough to notic eand cause concern i guess.  any comments, suggestions?

hi there,
i just want to tell u that i have EXACTLY the same symptoms..and am 27 too!!!and in the right breast..i did a mammo..it showed a 'fibroglandular tissue' and an ultrasound to confirm that too..but once u start thinking about it , theres no way to take it out of your mind..so i requested a biopsy..a 'core biopsy' as its more accurate ..and i did one couple of days back..and was waiting for the results today..but guess what..they called to say they LOST the specimen!!! so am planning to repeat it again..coz i really need to end this thing up..i've been thinking about it all the time..to the extent that its affecting my life..hope u the best..

thanks for your comments....i just wanted you to know that ive had these symptoms for several months before i became pregnant, so is this still a common thing??  my shoulder , arm and breast are sore almost all day everyday!

I had a mammogram which came back abnormal. I was called baack a week later to have additional pictures at which point the radioloigist stated he wanted me to have an ultrasound and see a surgeon.  He stated that whatever it was he was seeing was there in 2004 and 2005, but now it is more prominent.  I was called back in 2004 but it was decided it was nothing to worry about.  I had the ultrasound this past Friday and it came back negative.  My doctor said even though the ultrasound was negative there still needs to be a surgical intervention  There is a lump under my right arm which is giving me shoulder and neck pain.  I have an appointment with a surgeon tomorrow and I am losing it, has anyone experienced something similar

Hopefully the surgeon can give you more info and reassurance tomorrow. Just have your list of questions ready. The uncertainty of these lumps drives us crazy so I hope yours can be removed soon. Let us know how it all turns out. Meanwhile, I'll keep you in my prayers.

Thanks for your words of reassurance.  I am hoping to leave the surgeons office today with some ansewrs.  I cannot contnue to live like this, the waiting is too hard.  I'm scheduled to leave for New Orleans Tuesday for my job, but I dont know if I can handle being away from my family right now.  Keep me in your prayers!

Do you have an appointment with the surgeon scheduled yet? I've had 3 biopsies - 2 surgical and 1 stereotactic, and they all turned out benign. Just remember that a lot of these breast problems turn out ok. I hope yours turns out well, too.
