2nd follow up on confused results

picked up my x rays from the breast center and got a copy of the radiologist's report to the breast surgeon who examined me and said he saw nothing to biopsy and the mammos looked normal to him.his radiolist's report agreed with the doctor's findings and said "No suspicious mammograhphic finding has developed in either breast." it went on to say that the 1.0cm nodular that the first radiologist was insisting should be biopsied has been present in my breast since the baseline mammo  in 1996 "which is unchanged, supporting a benign etilolgy."
Impressions: stable mammo, including a stable nodule in the inferior right breast.
my question: this first radiologist called me back for sono's and cone compressions and then said I still needed to see a breast surgeon. The surgeon and the mammo radiologist at the breast  center said there is nothing suspicious in these mammos and nothing to biopsy--how could this first radiologist be so off base? does this happen often? it still has be spooked.

Dear mjf:  Did the first radiologist have the original films for comparison?  If so, then it may be a difference of opinion.   Although all the evidence suggests that the "nodule" is benign, if you are worried, you can discuss the possibility of having it removed for your peace of mind.
