3 x Breast Lumps & Ultrasound

Hi everyone, I'm hoping someone can help me concerning my results.

I am a 26 year old female,  I had Follicular thyroid cancer diagnosed last April, and Radioactive Iodine treatment in July of last year.  My followup scan in Jan was clean.

2 months ago, I noticed my right breast increase in size, almost a cup size.  It isn't sore, but is tender after I've been wearing a bra all day.  I did a self-exam and found a lump in my breast that was hard and almost felt attached to muscle.  I had an ultrasound with revealed these results:

"Circumscribed heterogeneous echogenicity, mostly hypoechoic lesion has been demonstrated at 11 o'clock position 5.0cm from nipple.  It measures about 5.3mm in diameter.  It has no vascularity or significant posterior echo enhancement.

Hypoechoic solid lesion at 9 o'clock position just adjacent to the areolar and measures 15.5 x 5.3mm.  It has smooth outer contours and horizontally oriented with its width more than its height.  Another seperate solid lesion just deep to this lesion and measures about 11.5mm in its long axis.  While appearance may suggest fibroadenomas, follow-up ultrasound study in 3 months time is strongly recommended for further evaluation, and possibly FNA if there is clinical concern."

I am very concerned, especially with the small heterogeneous lesion.  My GP says that I should just wait 3 months to see if there is any change,  should I push for biopsies now?  I read there is a link between thyroid cancer and breast and I am worried.  Has anyone had a similar experience?

From the Radiologist's report it seems that these nodules are likely to be Fibroadenomas. They are very small and the 3 month follow-up seems reasonable at this time. If you have serious concerns then I suggest you consult a Breast Specialist or perhaps even your Oncologist for a review of your history and these recent films. Another opinion may help ease your mind at this time. There may be a connection between Thyroid and Breast CA but it would be most unusual to find malignancies in both breasts.   Regards ....
