Dear bonassor:  There are a number of medications that are active in metastatic breast cancer. The choice depends on factors related to the cancer (including hormone receptor results and Her2neu results) as well as the patient's underlying medical issues, prior treatments and the physician's recommendations. We cannot give you specific recommendations related to your wife's treatment. The options should be discussed with her oncologist.
