5 weeks post op

Hi Ladies,
I am 5 weeks post op (bi lateral w/ expanders), had some cellulitus on my left side, (ended up back in the hospital for 5 days for antibotics and pain control). At home now and doing much better (still on IV antibotics scheduled to stop this Mon), but still quite swollen and still experiencing pain on my left side. Expansion started last Thurs (ouch) any suggestions as to how I can feel more comfortable?
Thanks

Hi Tina,
I did not have any lymph nodes removed, can I still get lymphedema?
My cellulitis is getting better (now on oral antibotics) but still more swollen on the left side. I am going to the ps today so I will ask about the bodywork. Where does one learn bodywork? physical therapy?
Thanks,

Do you think you would be up for some bodywork?  Swelling such as with lymphedema and after surgeries can be helped with Manual Lymph Drainage, it's bodywork that helps inflammation and pushes fluid from the body, it feels like a massage.  I have lymphedema and use it whenever I can afford to go or life allows me to go lol more like it.   I wish I had known about it after my lumpectomy.  How is your cellulitis?  Have they mentioned lymphedema at all to you?  Lymphedema patients get cellulitis quite often so just wondered.  Tina
