ATYPICAL HYPERPLASIA

I just heard back from my doctor about the results of my excisional biopsy-  it is benign but her assistant  added that i have Atypical Hyperplasia.  i would like to know any info about this and what questions i should ask my doctor when i see her on November 12th.

First of all, my congratulations on the benign result! That's huge.  Re:  the atypical hyperplasia, I guess I would ask for a definition of that, and what kind of special follow up you should do.  

Any other members have advice?

atypical hyperplasia puts you at higher risk of breast cancer in your lifetime. This is what I was told by my surgeon.  It is abnormal cells and many of them and they are one step from cancer.
