After sterotactic biopsy, I'm told I have a ductal micropapillary hyperplasia

What is this? Can't find anything online with this exact name. I'm being scheduled for another biopsy soon. The calcifications they took during the previous biopsy were benign but this came up in one breast. any answers?

I don't see the word "atypia" mentioned and this would make the difference as to how much concern this diagnosis would deserve. Hyperplasia is the increased growth of cells. Cribiform / micropapillary refers to the arrangement of the cells. This finding was in the milk ducts of the breast ..... I would think this diagnosis came from the biopsy; since another biopsy is being scheduled I'm guessing that it will be an excisional/open/surgical type rather than the needle type that was done previously. If this is true ADH which would include the word "atypical" then excision of the area is usually recommended. Sorry I can't give you more information but your post gave limited information to work with. Hope this helps somewhat.    Regards .....
