Are there any alternatives to chemotherapy? Very interested in going the natural route. All the possible vomiting and hair loss is not that appealing. I'd rather live two great years and die than deal with years of this stuff.
Well, TamoxifenTamoxifen Tamoxifen citrate is sort of an alternative to chemotherapy as both are systemic treatments, and surgery and radiation are local treatments.
Tamoxifen brings along with it for many women, not all for sure, some quality of life issues. So do Aromatase Inhibitors.
With chemotherapy you really no longer vomit much these days, but for for three months, or so, you don't feel so hot. but in retrospect, the time passes quite quickly for chemo, and I have personally found the hormonal treatment harder to deal with. i did though get used to the Tamoxifen after a while and should you try it out, don't give up after one week, OK?
At least if you have a recurrence, you can still be treated with total mastectomy and possibly chemo in case this comes back.

Just some thoughts, KAT
