Another Lump

by Terizych, Jul 02, 2009 12:56PM
I had a bi-lateral mastectomy in Nov 2007.  I am taking Arimidex, however I feel another lump under my arm in which I had my cancer on.  I'm afraid it's in my lymph nodes now.  I had only the centenial node removed.  Do you think I should have a biopsy?

I think you should first consult your breast specialist and have whatever type of imaging he/she recommends .... if this is a lymph node it could be from something other than cancer. Having bilat. mastectomy does not mean that you are "home free" as far as cancer is concerned. I would certainly explore all possibilities since lymph nodes can become enlarged for several reasons.    Regards ....
