Anybody have experience with tissue expander in place during radiation and then reconstruction afterwards?

I have a tissue expander in place after my mastectomy.  It is now fully expanded and my chemo is almost done.  My doctors plan to deflate the expander, do radiation (margins were not clean, but weren't real bad) and then re-inflate partially after radiation.  The only reason to deflate is to be able to radiate the lymph nodes in the center of my chest.  I'm told that Sloan-Kettering does NOT radiate these nodes, but MD Anderson (Houston) does and that's where my doctors all trained.  After radiation, the plan is to reconstruct the breast using a small implant and some of my own tissue, probably from my back.  I understand this is rarely done and am trying to find SOMEBODY who has been through this.  I am trying to get a good feel for what to expect.  I don't have to deflate but am leaning towards hitting this cancer with all the possible weapons, even if it compromises the cosmetic outcome.  Any advice????
