Areola Discoloration

Hello, I was just getting undressed to take a shower when I noticed that there is a small spot on my areola that is almost white and soft when you press it. I've never seen it before but it really concerns me considering there is a history of breast cancer in my family. If you know anything PLEASE let me know! Thank you.

The nipples and areolas have sweat and sebaceous glands, similar to that of the skin of the face and other areas of the body.
Sometimes, these comedones become infected similar to what happens in a pimple.It is best not to manipulate or try to express this plug.You can use non-comedones soaps (Like Neutrogena) on your nipples when bathing or showering.
I really doubt that what you have has anything to do with breast cancer.However,if the spot doesn't go away or it becomes inflamed and painful,then I would suggest to see your doctor for an examination of your breasts and if necessary he/she will prescribe some sort of medication to get rid of this spot..
