Arimidex, osteopenia and reconstruction

I posted before on one of other forums, but havent had a reply, but am desperate to know if anyone that is on Arimidex has experienced Polyps on their gallbladder whilst taking Arimidex and if so, what was the outcome.  I was told its a polipoide lesion that I have and my understanding of that is that I have several polyps on the gallbladder, the largest being 6.2mm which has to be watched to see if it grows and if it gets to 1cm then it could be cancerous.  Does anyone have knowledge of this please. (I did post another time regarding this but had my facts a bit wrong).

Something else I would like to ask about is:  has anyone been on Fosavance for osteopenia/porosis - I think I developed this as a result of an oopherectomy and Arimidex, and am now taking this drug weekly.  Since taking it my bones and joints are absolute agony and I am walking around like a ninety year old woman.  Does the pain get better?

Another question is about the reconstruction.  I have had the expander in now for 4 months and am told it will probably be taken out in another 4 months time, I dont understand all this as I am only small breasted so dont really think I need all this stretching, but what is worrying me is that there is a giant nozzle under my armpit where they injected the expander, should that nozzle have been removed?.  Its causing great pain as it pushes into my armpit and affects my lymphedema.

Should I come off the Fosavance prior to any surgery? and if so how much time beforehand do I need to stop it?

I am seeing my onc. doctor but that is in May, so just trying to get myself sorted out mentally before I go off and have a million tests and then the meeting.

Thank you in anticipation.

Arimdex is known for causing osteoporosis and osteopenia not to mention extreme joint & bone pain.

Eight months with expanders is a wee bit ridiculous unless you're trying to stretch enough to be Pamela Anderson Junior. Is his schedule that full that he's making you wait that long? I'd want to get that over with ASAP since the implants are much more comfortable than the expanders.

Can't help you with the meds except to say that the side effects seem to be worse than the treatment. That's just my warped opinion so take it with a grain of old salt.

Best wishes

I'm afraid these complicated questions would best be answered by your Oncologist; some of course you need to ask your Plastic Surgeon .... we here don't really have the necessary medical information concerning your specific case to give you adequate answers. As far as the pain due to the drugs you mention; some say that the pain does lessen to some degree but I don't believe that is true in every case.  Regards ....
