Arm pit lumps

Arm pit lumps

I had a lump under my right arm about 3 weeks ago that caused my skin to turn red and become irritated, and I squeezed it and pus came out. Then it went away last week. Then almost right away I got several lumps under my left arm and they show the same type of features as the left arm did. Could this be cancer, or just some type of skin condition, or what?

Hi there,

How are you?  Are they painful? What other symptoms are present? Can you describe more about the pus?  An armpit lump refers to enlargement of one or more lymph nodes under the arm. There are plenty of reasons for this to happen: bacterial, viral or fungal infection, cancer or just benign cyst or lipoma.  It would be best to visit your doctor for proper evaluation and management. He may do some blood tests such as a complete blood count.

Take care and keep us posted.
