Asymetrical density in breast

I turned 40 in April and just had my annual mammagram.  They are calling me back to look at the right breast due to asymetrical density.  Is that anything to be worried about?

Hi, I'm  41 years old and had a mammogram in 2007 and showed a 2 cm ill-defined density on the focal compression views, however it could not be confirmed on the ultrasound exam and may represent an intramammary lymph node. Another mammogram was done on 5-24-08 and a 1.5 cm asymmetrical density is again seen in the upper quadrant of the left breast. No calcifications, mass or architectural distortion seen.  Is this something I should worry about?  Thanks

Hi.  An asymmetric density could mean a lot of things and does not necessarily point to cancer.  Your doctors are taking a second look just to make sure it isn't. Just stay calm and avoid speculating at this point as this merely heightens your anxiety over the matter.
